I’m finally sitting down a few weeks after my workshop and just thinking about the fact that I had 9 incredible photographers join me for my first ever Wedding Intensive is just an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness. When I was asked a few years ago If I would consider teaching posing and flash by many (not just a few) but many photographers I kinda thought, well that’s a lot of work. In the past few years of evolving my business and seeing how far I have personally come in six years and how it takes some photographers well over 10 to 15 years to get where I have gotten, I am reminded over and over of how much I have invested into my education. I could have a masters degree on business and photography with all those “credit hours” of education I’ve taken. THIS simple fact alone plus the 6 years of actually implementing it was the greatest reasons to my success. I have kicked my tail to get where I am and my business coach told me one time, “Ashlea if you were to die with all this knowledge in your head it isn’t fair to other photographers.” She told me, “You said you love serving and helping people, why wouldn’t you do the same with education?” My mind was blown at that concept and the idea was “reborn” into initially doing just some 1-1 coaching. Fast forward to actually putting all the effort into hosting the first ever Ashlea Snell Wedding Intensive.
I was honestly not ready for the overwhelming incredible response I had when I opened my cart doors and within 24 hours sold my first 5 tickets. WOW. I was really amazed and thought, why didn’t I do this sooner? Within the next few days we sold out our last three tickets and added one more lady to make the 9. These women are incredible, y’all. They are all hardworking business owners that have already kicked tail and I’m just WAITING to see how far they go in their business this year.
The first day was all education. We went over everything from your ideal client to branding yourself to attract that client, then going into posing and flash. The second day was a FULL WEDDING DAY walkthrough. I mean we walked through it all. Details to reception and these girls with the help of the incredible vendor team, were able to get some stunning images in their portfolio.
Each lady won’t know how special they are to me, that they trusted me to teach them for two full days – and I’m just thrilled and itching to do the next one (announcing here soon!!!! 🍾)
Until then, I am just still soaking up the joy I have in serving these photographers and can’t wait to do this all over again in November!
